When a fire breaks out, your commercial building's fire sprinkler system is the first line of defense.  It's one of the most important fire safety systems in your building.  The fire sprinkler system is put in place to ensure the safety of your occupants as well as your assets. You must stay up to date on fire sprinkler testing and fire sprinkler maintenance.

We have a nationwide network of highly skilled professionals who have undergone factory training, certification, and licensure.   They will make sure your fire sprinkler systems are in working order and comply with NFPA standards, local codes and requirements.

According to the National Fire Protection Association Standards – NFPA 72, Chapter 14,

During a routine fire alarm inspection, the following items will be tested:

  • Smoke and heat detectors
  • Annunciators and zones
  • Batteries
  • Output relays and activations
  • Flow switches, tamper switch, and low-pressure alarms
  • Supervised control valves and switches

We start with a visual test which ensures that gauges, dates, cylinders, and other elements are up to date.

The physical inspection checks the weight, hose, seals, etc. We will verify the tag, date and location.

A suppression inspection includes checking all initiating devices and verifying the time delays.  We will make sure that the releasing device activates properly. We will visually inspect batteries, signal, the orientation of all discharge, pipe fittings and nozzles. We will verify that the abort device and manual release functionality are working properly as well as perform an integrity test.

It is a requirement that the emergency lights or lighted exit signs be inspected and tested at least monthly.  With this test, there is a thirty-second test of the lights.  The fire inspector will maintain written records documenting the tests that were performed and will be available for review by the fire inspector.

Restaurants are loaded with combustible material, including cooking oils, liquor, material paper, and foil. While restaurant owners need to use measures to forestall fires, kitchen hood fire suppression systems are there to secure your facility should a fire start.  Your kitchen hood should be reviewed and maintained consistently by an expert to guarantee they will be working properly in case of that sudden fire.
